Contempo was founded in 1986 by Mrs. Fenty Gozali. Back in the 80s, Mrs. Gozali saw a void in the market for trendy and fashionable yet affordable clothings. In October of 1986, armed with her educational background and work experience, she opened her first three outlets in Pasaraya, Rimo and Grand Melawai Deparment Stores.
Contempo with its ladies and teens collection became an instant success among the Jakarta trendy sets. With the idea of coordinated collections between teens and kids she soon started Contempo kids. In 1990, to complement her women’s collection she started Contempo men.
Today, with our Motto “Dressing Everyone” Contempo offers a broad and varied range of collections for women, men and kids. The collections are created with our broad clientele in mind and the aim is to satisfy many different tastes and occasions.
